App terms of use
These terms apply to every app that Ludlet (“we”) makes and distributes through Google Play, the App Store and other stores (the “apps”). Our web tools follow the separate web terms of use.
- Dingdone · Android
- Tido · Android
- Mochu · Android, iPhone
- RelayCut · Android, iPhone
- Pairfall · Android, iPhone
- Jiing · Android
- Jeongsem · Android
- Mureum · Android
How each app handles personal information is in its own privacy policy (ludlet.com/apps/app-name/privacy).
1. Agreement
By downloading and using an app you agree to these terms. The terms of the store you downloaded it from (Google Play, App Store) also apply, and for things the store handles, such as payments and refunds, the store's terms come first. No account is needed.
2. Free features, ads and paid items
- The core features of each app are free. Jeongsem and Mureum are free with banner ads.
- Some apps sell paid items. All are one-time purchases you keep; there are no subscriptions. Examples: the lifetime pass in Mochu and RelayCut, Pro and theme packs in Tido, paid characters and widget styles in Dingdone.
- The name, content and price of each item are shown in the app's purchase screen and the store's payment sheet before you buy. Prices include VAT and may vary by country and store.
- Free features (free characters, free cut counts and so on) let you try things before you buy.
3. What “lifetime” and “includes future items” cover
- Lifetime means for as long as that app's service continues, on the store account you bought it with — not the buyer's lifetime.
- An item described as including future additions (for example “includes theme packs released later”) gives you, at no extra cost and for as long as the app's service continues, items of the same kind added within that app (new theme packs, in that example). It does not include items in other apps or new items of a different kind. The description on the purchase screen defines the scope.
- Purchases are tied to the store account you paid with. On devices signed in to the same account you can restore purchases in the app, but purchases cannot move between Google Play and the App Store.
4. Payments
Google Play or the App Store processes payments. We never receive your card or other payment details; payment methods and receipts are in your store account. Payment approvals, errors and double charges are fastest to fix through the store's support.
5. Refunds and withdrawal
- Refunds follow the refund policy of the store you paid through, and the store handles requests.
- Google Play: Google Play refund help (within 48 hours of purchase you can request one directly on Google Play)
- App Store: Apple refund help; requests at reportaproblem.apple.com
- In-app items are digital content delivered as soon as you pay. Once you start using a delivered item, withdrawal may be limited under Article 17(2)(5) of Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. We show this on the purchase screen and let you try free features first.
- If an item differs from what was shown or advertised, or doesn't work as promised, you may withdraw under Article 17(3) of the same Act within 3 months of receiving it and within 30 days of when you learned (or could have learned) of the problem.
- If an item doesn't unlock or the app is faulty, email hello@ludlet.com with the app name, store, order number (starting with GPA. or your Apple order ID) and what happened. We'll help fix it first, and if we can't, we'll guide you to a store refund.
- If a minor paid without a legal guardian's consent, the minor or the guardian may cancel the purchase (Article 5 of the Korean Civil Act). Tell the store through its refund request, or email us.
- Once a refund is complete the store cancels the purchase, and the item locks again in the app.
6. Your data lives only on your device
The apps work without servers or accounts, so what you enter and your settings are stored only on your phone. If you uninstall, clear app data, or lose or break your phone, we cannot recover it. In apps with a backup-file feature, such as Jeongsem and Mureum, keep important records in a backup file. We are not liable for data loss not caused by our intent or gross negligence.
7. Your content and other people's information
- The writing, photos and ledgers you create in the apps belong to you. We never receive them.
- When you handle other people's information — guests' names and amounts in Jeongsem, people photographed with you in RelayCut, other people's stories in Mureum — respect their rights and get their consent before sharing.
8. Please don't
- Modify an app or bypass payment to unlock paid items.
- Reverse-engineer an app, or extract and redistribute its art, sounds or fonts, except where the law allows.
- Abuse ads, for example by clicking them repeatedly on purpose.
9. Intellectual property
The rights to the apps' names, characters, art, sounds and code belong to us or their rightful owners. Buying an app or item gives you the right to use it, not ownership of those rights. Fonts and open-source libraries follow their own licenses, listed on each app's “Open-source licenses” screen.
10. Limits of results
Calculations such as Jeongsem's totals or Dingdone's hours and pay are reference values based on what you enter. Check important matters such as tax, employment or money against original records and official sources. Notifications may be late or missing depending on your phone's battery-saving and do-not-disturb settings.
11. Changes and discontinuation
- We may change features through updates, or stop selling or updating an app.
- Before ending the service of an app that sells paid items, we give at least 30 days' notice in the app or on this page.
- Because the apps run on your device without servers, an installed app usually keeps working after the service ends. Re-downloading it or restoring purchases may not be possible, depending on store policy.
- If through our fault you can no longer use an item you bought during the service period, we will arrange a refund or compensation in line with the law and store policy.
12. Limitation of liability
Unless caused by our intent or gross negligence, we are not liable for indirect loss from using the apps or for problems caused by your device or network. These terms do not reduce any right the law guarantees you, including under Korea's E-Commerce Consumer Protection Act and the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions.
13. Changes to these terms
We post changes on this page 7 days before they take effect and update the effective date above; changes that work against you are posted 30 days ahead. Using the apps after the change means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. We will first try in good faith to resolve any dispute by talking. If a lawsuit is needed, it goes to the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. For consumer disputes in Korea you can also contact the Korea Consumer Agency (www.kca.go.kr, 1372).
15. Contact
